Virtual Roster Specialised is an advanced automated rostering program designed to improve the use of precious time and offer more control over productive employee time than ever before.
Virtual Roster Specialised stores a record of shift information, employee details, employee availability, wage rate details and roster information. Track and forecast many areas such as employee levels, wage rates and costs.
A computer is much better at juggling large numbers of variables and alternative options than any human can possibly be. Using an electronic rostering solution is just plain good sense, and the savings are very real - in time, morale, stress and money!
The production of rostering software is a specialised business. Each company has different ways of writing a particular roster for their staff. This is why DIGITAL INSTINCT has created an extensive assortment of modules that can be added to the base package to suit your rostering needs.
Special Features that can be integrated:
| · Shift Creator | · Password Security | · Backup Data |
| · Copy Roster Periods | · Expert Reports | · Employee Leave |
| · Work Rules | · Daily Percentages | · Availability |
| · Lunch Breaks | · Hourly Staff Levels | · Award Interpreter |
| · Import to Payroll | · Staff Ratings | · Shift Priority |
| · Email Rosters | · Auto Roster | · Rotations |
| · Skills | · Licences | · Tasking |
The Auto Roster feature will complete your staff roster in minutes or seconds rather than hours. This translates into increased operational efficiency for your organisation, and big savings.
Alternative rosters may be quickly produced to ascertain the most cost-effective from a wages or budget viewpoint.
The "Workload" section is where all shifts are edited. A workload dictates how many shifts are needed and when they are needed. Classifications, skills and proficiency levels can also be added to ensure the right people receive the shift. Only an employee with a matching classification and skill and equal to or a higher level proficiency can be placed to the shift.
Employees can also be nominated as the primary employee for a shift. This will let Virtual Roster Specialised know that the Auto Roster feature should attempt to place this employee to the selected shift first.
Rotations are used to set-up additional specifications on how you want your staff to be rostered. Once an employee is set to work a specific rotation they are bound to its rules. Auto Roster and manual rostering follow these rules. A rotation can be used to set up one-week cycle or a multiple week rotation. Each week the employee moves onto the next week in the rotation and follows its' rules.
The Availability screen in conjunction with the Leave Calendar allows detailed planning, remembering employee holidays, rostered days off in advance and specific hours an employee cannot work.
Updating the selected employee's availability is as easy as highlighting the specific hours within the day that the employee is unavailable for. To make an employee unavailable for a whole day click the name of the day required and the whole day is blocked off as unavailable for the selected employee.
The tasking roster is a sub or secondary roster to the main workload roster. You are assigning a task or tasks to people who have already been rostered to shifts (workloads) for a specified week.
Basically they are rostered to a start and finish time for the day and tasking will then roster them to tasks within those times for the day.
